Holiday Break and Christmas Camp

Winter Break Schedule

The pre-Christmas training block will begin this Friday 12/21 at 8:45! Meet above the Ski Racks in front of the lodge.  We are always at the mercy of mother Nature as to what kind of training we will be doing so be prepared for anything.  We will be starting into our fundamental drills this weekend.  I know many of you have only 1 pair of skis and that is great, but if you are choosing between SL and GS skis we will be starting on SL skis and moving to GS after Christmas.  Also because there is snow if the forecast, if your kids have specific all mountain skis it would be good for them to be available.

Saturday 12/22 and Sunday 12/23 will be the same, meet at 8:45 above the ski racks in front of the main lodge.

The Post Christmas Camp is Scheduled For
Thursday 12/27
Friday 12/28
Saturday 12/29
Sunday 12/30
Monday 12/31 only 1/2 day

We will be making plenty of time for free skiing as well as training during this time so stay tuned for what skis will be needed following Christmas.

The Basic Schedule

Practice Starts
We meet above the ski racks in front of the main lodge on the snow @ 8:45 am we will depart as a group from there. We will use all different parts of the mountain for training so it is important to try really hard to be there on time.

Lunch Break
Our typical lunch break will vary from 11:15/ 11:30 ending 12:30/ 12:45  about an hour an 15 minutes.  I like to leave a little time in there so that if you would like to take a run or two with your kids you can. After lunch we again meet above the ski racks in front of the lodge.

I strongly suggest  having a plan in place that your kids have the ability to get themselves their lunch so that if we shift the lunch they are not waiting for you. I realize that this makes it hard to plan but we tend to watch the lines and the lodge and we attempt to avoid the crowds in the lodge  and on the hill which means we have more space on the hill while everyone else is in the lodge:)

End of Day
Training will end at 3:00 pm
If we are free skiing we will ski the kids back down to the main lodge where we expect that they can find you on there own.  So it is a good idea to have a standard meeting spot for the end of training.  During days that we are training gates....  The kids will usually ski themselves down to the main lodge so that the coaches can return all of our training equipment to the race shack.

I hope that this clarifies any of your questions regarding our typical schedule.
